I mentioned last week about how Master 8 was sick and how he so thoughtfully shared it with me. Well it's now spread, thanks to little people who can't cover their mouths when they're sick. So we're all loaded up with snot and lung-rupturing coughs. Except for The Husband, thank goodness. With all that's going on, I can't deal with a case of manflu as well.
Master 21mths was up most of Friday night with a dreadful cough and couldn't sleep. He was a total grumble-pot on Saturday and Saturday night saw neither of us get any sleep whatsoever. That made yesterday a very hard day where both he and I were feeling very precious and ripping everyone's heads off.
Thankfully he had a decent sleep last night and woke up much happier this morning, and is actually eating something.
But Little Miss 3 has pulled up worse for wear this morning. Between the tears and the coughing and the snot-flying sneezes - it's been a very difficult morning.
The only thing that's keeping her quiet this morning?
Dora the goddamn Explorer. Someone kill me now - I don't know what's worse - Miss 3's whining or Dora yelling at me in the background. I think Miss 3's whining, so Dora stays on.
And to make things even better, we have a house inspection tomorrow with the agents from hell. So I'm back to scouring floors and de-streaking windows - because, you know, when you live in a house with kids, things don't get messy at all.
So I'll clean, clean, clean. The kids will make mess, mess, mess. I will yell, yell, yell. And then I'll stress, stress, stress where I will then finish the day and cry, cry, cry.
God I hope they come early in the morning so I don't have to keep this house in showroom condition for a whole day.
Ok, pity party over.
How's your week shaping up?

OMFG - It's Timmy Time!!
There's not much that stops my family in its tracks but one thing that is guaranteed to, is the theme music to Timmy Time. The whole world stop turning.
Everything moves in slow motion.
Toys are abandoned.
The screaming subsides.
The transfixed faces take form.
It's kinda scary, actually.
Personally, I hate the show. Like I do most kids TV shows. I just can't handle them. The bright colours, the over-the-top cuteness, the whole "talking at you like you're 3" thing. But this is one of those shows where they don't speak at all.....sure the characters make sounds. But they don't say actual words - just gobbledegook. And I think that's even worse.
But dammit, my kids love it and I'll happily fire up a Timmy Time marathon session just to gain a few moments (or hours) of peace and quiet.
